Description
12 Volt 1 Amp BatteryKeeper® Maintenance Charger

The BatteryKeeper® is a 2-mode charger/maintainer that extends performance and life of all types/sizes/brands of 12 Volt lead acid batteries or 6 Volt (series connected). These include maintenance-free, marine, sealed, gel, AGM, dry and valve-regulated batteries.

The two modes are: charging and maintaining.
The 12 Volt - 1 Amp BatteryKeeper® allows you to charge up to 4 batteries (12 Volt parallel-connected or two 6 Volt series-connected) at a time. BatteryKeeper® does not desulphate your batteries. (See our BatteryMINDer Plus® Model 12117 maintenance charger with “Full Time” desulfation.)

Features
  • Charge and maintain LED indicators (blinks when the battery reaches full charge).
  • Guarantees full charge without ever overcharging.
  • Allows battery to be stored safely at -20°F to +120°F.
  • Temperature, short circuit and polarity reversal protected.
  • Designed and engineered in the USA.
  • Built in strict accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • 1-year (money-back) guarantee.
  • 5-year “no hassle” warranty.

Not for use with Aviation Specific batteries. See models 12248-AA-S1 and 24041-AA-S1 aviation specific charger-maintainer-desulfator-conditioners

An important question

An Important QUESTION you should know the answer to before making a buying decision:
Why would you or anyone pay up to $150 for any battery charger, when there are dozens of much less expensive, good quality chargers from which to choose?

ANSWER:

  1. The cost of the average starter or deep cycle battery is $85, with an average-life of three (3) years (200 full charge – discharge cycles). Many types, such as sealed AGM, Gel or spiral-wound “dry” (Optima, Odyssey, Exide, etc.) cost considerably more ($125 - $175 ea.). They also will not reach their full design life of five or more years, unless they are properly “treated” during their entire lifetime.
  2. The Average performance of all battery types, over their life, diminishes to 50% of original. Measured in either cranking-amps (starter type battery) or ampere-hours (deep cycle battery), your battery has “shrunk” when compared to its original performance and capacity by 50% or more, before it finally dies. The major reason (believed by many authorities to be 75% -90% of the cause) for this loss is not just “old age”, but a condition known as "sulfation”.
