  1. handy power plug

    Really easy to use.

  2. Battery Minding Made Easy!

Posted by Anne on 14th Nov 2016

Since I'm intimidated by the complexity I see under my car's hood, I'm thrilled that the vehicle power plug lets me bypass my car's innards all together. It takes less than one minute to insert the plug into my cigarette lighter (or whatever that hole is called these days), thread the cord out the slightly open car window, and plug my battery minder into the garage wall outlet. Awesome accessory for an awesome product!

  3. Good charger

Posted by Unknown on 4th Mar 2015

I've used the nearly identical previous model for several years. It does a fine job of charging my various SLA batteries in all temperatures due to the temperature sensor, the included leads make it easy to connect my batteries, and the light weight and compact size are good because I use it while traveling in my motorhome. I now have two of them.

The instructions for both units are confusing because they go into excessive detail for most people, and the latest one doesn't even mention selecting the proper charge rate. The manual should have "Quick start" page at the beginning; basically...

    - unplug it
    - connect to the battery (red to +, black to -)
    - select charge current
    - select battery type
    - plug it into the wall socket
    - it's done when the "charged" light flashes

That will work for 90% of the cases, and the remaining pages can go into the details.
